Like Black Lion Audio's B173 quad preamplifier, the circuit design of the single-channel B173 MKII is based on the classic circuitry, transporting the legendary fat, warm British sound into modern times. For an even cleaner and less distortion sound, the gain stage has been significantly redesigned. Two large-format controls for input and output levels allow a sensitive dosage of the sound coloration by the transformers, so that all sound variations from velvety elegant to rich and overtone-rich are immediately available.
